Zoe and Ant’s beautiful Old Thorns Wedding

It’s been a while since I’ve done a blog post… even us wedding togs need a holiday 😉

Before I went away I shot two beautiful weddings and this is the first…..

Friday 12th June saw Zoe and Ant’s big day at the brilliant Old Thorns, Liphook.

I started the day with Zoe and the girls at her parents house as she got ready for the day whilst James met Ant and the church at the church (pub) for a few shots before the ceremony.

The couple’s beautiful ceremony was followed by a few shots at the church before we all headed off to Old Thorns for the reception. Unfortunately just as we started the group photographs the heavens opened and the good old British weather sent us all inside! However that didn’t stop us having a great time as we went around the venue taking some shots of the beautiful bride and groom. Old Thorns is such a great venue as even when the weather’s bad there’s plenty of places to take pictures.

We were with Zoe & Ant until after their first dance when we left everyone having a boogy!

Karen & Paul’s wonderful Old Thorns wedding

On Saturday Karen & Paul were married at Old Thorns in Liphook. I first met the couple a few years ago now when they booked Devonshire Photographic to capture their big day.

I met Karen & the girls in the morning as they got ready at Old Thorns. I have never ever photographed a bride ready as early as Karen, her timing was impeccable…. a girl after my own heart!

James met the lads including the couple’s 3 boys for photographs before the ceremony began.

The couple had a lovely ceremony, that was full of tears and laughter; the tears mainly because of Paul’s 15 year old son’s reading. Well done Josh, you made the whole room well up!

After their ceremony we did group photos before heading off onto the golf course for couple shots. It was a gorgeous day with the blue but cloudy sky creating a perfect back drop on the golf course.

Following the meal their were speeches, before lots of dancing!

A beautiful new born lifestyle shoot

A few months ago, I had a message from a client asking me if I would do a purely lifestyle based new born shoot when her little bundle arrived. Of course, I said yes!

This is a completely different style to how I normally photograph newborn babies, but it was great fun and something that I’d definitely do again.

The Thomas’ Family Photo Shoot

This afternoon I met the Thomas’ for their family photo shoot at the wonderful Waverley Abbey ruins near Farnham.

I had been booked to photograph Lizzie & David’s wedding back in 2012 when I fell pregnant with my little boy so unfortunately I had to pass the booking on. It was lovely when Lizzie got in touch to tell me they’d since had a beautiful daughter and wanted some photographs of them as a family, but most importantly of Grace.

It was such a lovely shoot, and Grace was more than happy to pose for the camera.
